Inland Northwest women will gather from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 12 to embrace the challenge of leadership at the 2008 Women’s Leadership Conference of the Inland Northwest at Spokane Community College’s Lair Student Auditorium.

The conference is the result of collaborative effort among higher education institutions in the region, including Gonzaga University. The conference theme for this year, the 10th anniversary of the event, is: “Women Challenging Leadership Myths.” The Women’s Leadership Conference will focus primarily on new skills women can develop to be successful leaders.

Women will be honored who have demonstrated exceptional leadership in five categories: student, faculty, administrator, business, and community. Nominations are accepted through Feb. 23. Nomination forms are online.

The conference fee is $35, which includes the awards luncheon. Students may attend the conference and luncheon for $15. The conference is free for students who do not wish to attend the luncheon.
