Specialized Recreation Stages 'Peter Pan' Dec. 2-3

Gonzaga University Specialized Recreation, a service organization, will stage a production of “Peter Pan” at 6:30 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 2, and at 8 p.m., Monday, Dec. 3, in the Cataldo Hall Globe Room on the Gonzaga campus.

Tickets are $5 for each performance, which are open to the public. The cast includes GUSR volunteers and people with developmental challenges.

The mission of GUSR is to create an atmosphere where people of diverse backgrounds, abilities and ages feel welcomed, respected and loved. The focus is on creating programs for both children and adults with developmental disabilities, a group that is underrepresented at Gonzaga. The goal of the program, which is allied with Gonzaga’s Center for Community Action and Service Learning, is to create an environment that fosters equality and inclusion of all people.
