Gonzaga University's theatre department will offer a look at American youth in its summer production, “This is Our Youth” to be staged the weekend of Aug. 31 in the Russell Theatre, located in Gonzaga's Administration Building. The show will be presented at 9 p.m. both on Friday, Aug. 31, and on Saturday, Sept. 1; and at a 4 p.m. matinee on Sunday, Sept. 2. The performance is free and open to the public.

The play, written by Kenneth Lonergan, is a "hard-hitting dramatic examination of disaffected and affluent young people," said Director Brian Russo, associate professor of communication-theatre arts at Gonzaga. “This is Our Youth,” Lonergan’s first play, was nominated for a Drama Desk Best Play.
