| Stebbins Attends Catholic Bioethicists Meeting | |
|
Michael Stebbins, Ph.D., director of the Gonzaga Ethics Institute at Gonzaga University, is serving as a faculty member at the Third Annual Colloquium of the International Association of Catholic Bioethicists. The association is meeting July 1-5 at St. Mary’s University College in Twickenham ( London), England. The theme of the colloquium, whose participants represent five continents and 17 countries, is “Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine: How Far Should We Go?” Stebbins will present a paper entitled “Ethics and Human Development: Embryonic Stem Cell Research and Altered Nuclear Transfer,” which he co-authored with Patrick Byrne, Ph.D., chair of the philosophy department at Boston College.
