Margaret Wheatley to Offer Workshops April 11-12

Internationally renowned author, speaker and leadership development expert Margaret Wheatley will offer three events in Spokane April 12-13 through a partnership between Gonzaga University and The Berkana Institute

Wheatley is one among a few women regarded as authorities on leadership, and has worked with all types of organizations on all continents. She has authored four books, including the classic “Leadership and the New Science,” which has been published in 19 languages.

Wheatley will be the featured speaker and host of the Women’s Leadership Revival Tour from 6-9 p.m., Thursday, April 12 in the Globe Room of Cataldo Hall on the Gonzaga University campus, courtesy of The Berkana Institute.

On April 13, Wheatley will instruct a workshop, hosted by Gonzaga, at the Mukogawa Fort Wright Institute from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. with lunch provided. Participants and Wheatley will explore the operating principles of a leader, including developing an awareness of what is truly motivating, promoting accountability, and successfully implementing new initiatives.

Later that day, at 4:30 p.m., Wheatley will provide a one-hour public presentation and discussion on leadership in the new world. This presentation is free, open to the public and will be held at the Gonzaga School of Law in Room 226.

All events are co-sponsored by The Berkana Institute and Gonzaga University with financial support from the New Priorities Foundation and Washington Courage and Renewal. Event prices and presale tickets can be found at www.gonzaga.edu/CE or www.berkana.org/women.
