| Fiction Writer Sam Ligon to Read His Work March 27 | |
|
Gonzaga University will host a reading of fiction by writer Sam Ligon at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 27, in the Wolff Auditorium of the Jepson Center for the School of Business Administration. The reading, sponsored by the GU English department’s Visiting Writers Series, is free and open to the public. Ligon is a professor at Eastern Washington University’s Inland Northwest Center for Writers where he edits Willow Springs, the university’s literary journal. He is the author of the 2003 novel “Safe in Heaven Dead” and is one of the contributors to the forthcoming anthology “The Empty Page: Fiction Inspired by the Songs of Sonic Youth.” His short stories have appeared in Post Road, StoryQuarterly, Other Voices, the Alaska Quarterly Review, Manoa, The Quarterly, Sleeping Fish and other publications.
