| Symphony Spring Concert March 5 at Crosby Theatre | |
|
The Gonzaga Symphony Orchestra will perform its Spring concert at 7:30 p.m., Monday, March 5 at the Bing Crosby Theatre (formerly the Metropolitan Performing Arts Center), at 901 W. Sprague Ave. Conducted by Kevin Hekmatpanah, the program will consist of Suppé’s “ Poet and Peasant” Overture, Bottesini’s Double Bass Concerto, Weber’s “ Invitation to the Dance” and Debussy’s “La Mer.” The double bass soloist will be Chang Min-Lee, the principal double bassist for the Spokane Symphony. Admission is free to GU students, faculty and staff. Tickets are $7 general admission, $5 for students, and are available at the door. A free shuttle bus for GU students leaves from St. Aloysius Church at 6:45 p.m. and 7:10 p.m., and returns following the concert.
