The Gonzaga University School of Engineering and Applied Science and Gonzaga’s Center for Engineering Design will sponsor Engineers Week, Monday Feb. 19 through Friday, Feb. 23.

On Tuesday (Feb. 20), the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc., will present TI-89 calculator training from 5:30-7 p.m. in the Herak Center Room 123.

Wednesday (Feb. 21) features the Engineering and Computer Science Networking Invitational from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Globe Room, Cataldo Hall. Also, Senior Design presentations will take place from 2-5 p.m. in the following locations:

*Civil Engineering Presentations ~ Foley Center Teleconference Room and Herak Room 245.

*Mechanical Engineering Presentations ~ Herak Center, Room 237.

*Electrical Engineering Presentations ~ Herak Center, Room 123. A Center for Engineering Design social for the Design Advisory Board, Engineering Advisory Council and senior design students will be held in the Herak Center from 5-8 p.m.

On Thursday (Feb. 22) Gonzaga’s Engineers Without Borders Club will sponsor a globalization talk entitled “Engineering for the Future: Sustainable Development in Kigali, Rwanda,” from noon-1 p.m. in the Administration Building, Room 101. Also, the Gonzaga University Club for Evolutionary Algorithms will conduct a presentation on its activities from 3-5 p.m. in the Herak Center, Room 245. From 7-8:30 p.m., the Society of Women Engineers will host “Girls Night for Science” and present engineering opportunities to junior high and high school girls in the Herak Center, Room 245.

On Saturday (Feb. 24) The week wraps up with a catapult competition, run by the Society of Automotive Engineers, at 1 p.m., on the varsity soccer field south of the tennis courts and on the west side of Martin Centre.
