Free Film 'Long Night's Journey into Day' April 18

Two Gonzaga University organizations, the Gonzaga Institute for Action Against Hate and the Gonzaga Center for Law and Justice, will air the final film in the War, Reconciliation, and Human Rights Film Series at the GU School of Law next week.

The final film in the series will be, “Long Night’s Journey into Day,” which will be shown from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 18 in the Barbieri Moot Court Room of the GU Law School (721 N. Cincinnati). This film provides a dramatic inside look at one of the most innovative and ambitious attempts at dialogue and healing in human history – South Africa’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission.

A deeply moving record of four case studies from the encounters between victims with their oppressors is depicted. The moderator for this film is Professor Shann Ferch from Gonzaga’s Doctoral Program in Leadership Studies.

The film is free and open to all. For more information, please contact Jim Mohr at (509) 323-3665 or
