| 'Student Paintings' Exhibit Opens March 20 | |
|
“Student Paintings from the Collection,” an exhibition showcasing the work of former Gonzaga University art students, will open in the Arcade Gallery of the Jundt Art Museum on Monday, March 20. “Student Paintings” features a selection of oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings from the university’s permanent art collection. The paintings on display represent a variety of subject areas including still life, landscape, portraits and the figure. Works by Paula Favaro, Christian Helfrich, Anthony Jones, Katey Mandley-Brower, Rose Matthis, Michael Pace, Jodi Pomeroy, Doug Safranek, Tracy Stone, Pedro Surroca and Jihyun Yu will be on view through July 31. “Farrell, Freuen, Gieber, Gilmore,” the current exhibition in the Jundt Gallery, an exhibit of works from Gonzaga University studio art faculty, will continue through April 8. Admission to the Jundt Art Museum is free and open to the public. Museum hours from March 20 through May 31 are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.- 4 p.m., and noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday; closed Sunday. Closed for holiday: April 14-17 and May 27-31. Museum hours from June 1- July 31 are Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m.- 4 p.m., closed on Sunday and Monday. Closed for holiday July 4.
