PLEASE NOTE: The schedule for tonight’s lecture has been changed due a death in the family of Rev. Robert J. Spitzer. As a result, Rev. Spitzer will be unable to deliver his planned lecture tonight. Instead of Fr. Spitzer’s lecture, Gonzaga philosophy Associate Professor Michael Tkacz will discuss the topic, "Creation, Cosmology, and the Cosmogonical Fallacy." The lecture will take place at 7 p.m., today in the Barbieri Courtroom at the Gonzaga University School of Law. The change is reflected below. The 2006 "Physics & the God of Abraham VI: Big Bang Cosmology and Creation," a three-part lecture series that began Feb. 27, concludes after tonight’s lecture. The series is co-hosted by Gonzaga University and Whitworth College. Tonight’s lecture, like all of the lectures in the series, is free and open to the public. Wednesday, March 1 at 7 p.m. ~ Gonzaga philosophy Associate Professor Michael Tkacz will speak on the topic,"Creation, Cosmology, and the Cosmogonical Fallacy." The lecture will take place in the Barbieri Courtroom at the GU Law School. The series is sponsored by Betty S. Wheeler, Whitworth College’s Weyerhaeuser Center for Christian Faith and Learning, and the Gonzaga University Faith and Reason Institute (www.gonzagafaithreason.org). |
