Campus Kitchen to Offer Heart-Healthy Valentines

The Campus Kitchen at Gonzaga University will celebrate Valentine’s Day and heart health with its Heart and Soul 2006 event. The student-supported volunteer service will provide its Spokane clients with a heart-healthy meal and a Valentine to mark the holiday – both for free.

The Campus Kitchen serving schedule for the week of Valentine’s Day is as follows:

• Monday (Feb. 13): St. Anne’s Church, 5:30 p.m. (Homeless Choir)
• Thursday (Feb. 16): American Indian Center, 5:30 p.m. (Seniors and families)
• Thursday (Feb. 16): Carriage House on Monroe, 5-6 p.m. (SNAP sack dinner)

Campus Kitchen is a partnership between Gonzaga University, Sodexho’s university dining services, and The Campus Kitchens Project working together with local nonprofit service organizations to help feed the hungry in Spokane.
