Irene Ringwood, a partner in the Washington, D.C.-based Ball Janik law firm, has been named to the Gonzaga University Board of Regents. The Regents serve as advisors to the Gonzaga University Board of Trustees and to Gonzaga President Rev. Robert J. Spitzer, S.J.

A 1984 graduate of the Gonzaga University School of Law, Ringwood also earned a bachelor’s degree in American Studies from Washington State University.

She worked for U.S. Rep. Tom Foley from 1985 to 1989. She was an associate at the law firm of Bogle & Gates from 1989-1995. In 1996 she joined Ball Janik as a partner.

Ringwood also has served as a member of the Gonzaga Law School Dean’s Board of Advisors since 1987.
She is married to attorney Robert G. Hayes; they have three children.
