Chesrown to Speak at Business Forum Dec. 19

Developer Marshall Chesrown, of Black Rock Development, will share his vision for development of Kendall Yards at 7:30 a.m., Monday, Dec. 19 at the Gonzaga University School of Business Administration Dean’s Business Forum in the Jepson Center Auditorium.

The event is open to the public and the fee is $12.50 per person, which includes a continental breakfast that begins before the presentation at 7:15 a.m. Early reservations are recommended. Please contact the GU School of Business Administration at (509) 323-5991 to make arrangements.

Formerly known as the Summit Property, Kendall Yards, located on the north bank of the Spokane River, west of Monroe Street, is the location for a proposed major expansion of downtown Spokane. The proposal includes residences, dining, shopping and public spaces. Black Rock Development is located in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Chesrown has a long history in the Inland Northwest. He grew up in the Spokane Valley, and has always considered the region home. He acquired the 77-acre property in November 2004. Chesrown’s vision for the Kendall Yards property includes the creation of an energetic, diverse and distinctive urban neighborhood for hundreds of residents. Details of the plan can be seen online at
