VP Sue Weitz, two GU students, are going global with Desmond Tutu!

Sue Weitz, vice president for Student Life since 1987, and two Gonzaga students, Chelsea Davidson and Aubrey Giordano, have been joined by South African activist and former cleric Desmond Tutu for the fall term ocean voyage sponsored by Semester at Sea. They departed at the end of August from Halifax, Nova Scotia for their cruise around the world, which will include a stop in South Africa to celebrate Tutu’s 79th birthday.

Looking Back to See Forward to Gonzaga’s 125th Anniversary in 2012:

Looking forward to Gonzaga University’s quasquicentennial celebration (125th anniversary) in 2012, @Gonzaga continues its series counting back to its founding year, 1887. This series began last month when we looked back six years to the 2004-05 academic year. In this issue, we travel back in time another six years to view highlights of the 1998-99 academic year.
