Gonzaga Honors Mert & Jessie Rosauer and Rosauer Family at 4th Annual Ignatian Gala

Standing tall and proud before the front doors of College Hall, the statue of St. Ignatius of Loyola serves as a physical reminder of Gonzaga University’s mission and values. A less tangible but equally powerful reminder is the University’s annual Ignatian Spirit Award that honors community philanthropists. Gonzaga celebrated the legendary J.M. "Mert" and Jessie Rosauer and the Rosauer family on Thursday (April 14) with the award at the fourth annual Ignatian Gala, a black-tie event celebrating all of Gonzaga’s generous benefactors.

Looking forward to Gonzaga University’s quasquicentennial celebration (125th anniversary) in 2012, @Gonzaga continues its monthly series counting back to its founding year, 1887. This series began in September when we looked back six years to the 2004-05 academic year, and each month looks back another six years. In this issue, we travel back in time to view highlights of the 1962-63 academic year.
