Core Curriculum Committee

The Core Curriculum Committee is a group of Gonzaga faculty who are reviewing the university's current core curriculum.

The charge given the Core Curriculum Committee from Interim Academic Vice President Thayne McCulloh was:

"to sift carefully through the institution-wide conversations that Professors Terry and Herzog have summarized in order to identify the common threads and reasonable consensus on the questions that have been posed to us; to educate themselves as broadly as possible on the state of the national conversation about core curricula and to learn from what has been or is being done at other institutions, particularly Jesuit colleges and universities; to bring together our conversations and the results of their research in the shaping of Core models that respond appropriately to the input; to engage the community in conversation about these models and to allow that discussion to shape any proposals for the Core which will then be brought to the Academic Council."
