The Staff Assembly is committed to recognizing individuals, nominated by their peers, students and/or faculty members, for their outstanding service in the mission areas of Faith, Justice, Service, Leadership and Ethics.  Each year, the Staff Assembly will be awarding 4 awards, 2 in the spring and 2 in the fall, to staff members who are an inspiration, a community servant, an exemplary leader, a caring and courageous person, and truly a team player.

In the Spring of 2007, at the annual Heads Up Gonzaga event, 4 awards were presented.  The deserving individuals were Mary Ann McDonald from the Switchboard, Gene Oltmann from Plant Services, Florence Robins from University Ministry, and Al Tesdal from the Law School.  These individuals display meritorious service above and beyond the duties normally assigned to their positions.

At the Staff Assembly Fall 2007 Open meeting, 2 more awards were presented.  Lori Leonard from the Switchboard and Jean Pugh from the department of Political Science, Psychology and Sociology were the deserving winners, nominated by their peers and faculty members for their contributions to the essential work of Gonzaga at the highest level of excellence.

During the Spring 2008 Open meeting, 1 more award was presented to Cheryl Peterson from the Custodial department.  Cheryl had several nominations in her name, provided by her co-workers.
