STAFF ASSEMBLY EXECUTIVE COUNCIL MINUTES
Wednesday, October 8, 2003 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.
1898 Room – Administration Building
Members Present: Marcia Bertholf, Kathy Sherrick, Lisa Meyer, Janice Resch, Krystal Burns, Bill Kostelec.
The meeting was called to order by President Marcia Bertholf at 12:10 p.m. No minutes available to be approved.
New Business
1. Debriefing from today’s meeting: Janice and Marcia to determine how to post the results of the compensation and staff satisfaction surveys, perhaps in Outlook’s public folders.
2. Assignment from Thayne: request for staff input on Standard 9 draft; email request and link to be sent out to all staff. Reiteration of Thayne’s request at open meeting forum for staff feedback which will go to Accreditation Steering Committee and incorporated into draft of Standard 9.
3. Debriefing from Brown Bag Session: Discussion regarding what council expectations had been from session; what worked, what didn’t; next steps.
4. Next week’s agenda: address the possibility of meeting less often to get more interest in staff involvement; or length of tenure for office holders, particularly the president.
5. Budget Committee: Marcia discussed her meeting with Fr Clancy, Angela Ruff and Steve Sepinuck from Faculty Senate on compensation issues.
By virtue of the bylaws, all Staff Assembly meetings are open unless otherwise designated by the Executive Council. Everyone is welcome to attend.
