STAFF ASSEMBLY EXECUTIVE COUNCIL MINUTES
November 6, 2002 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.
1898 Room
Members Present: Neva Bishop, Krystal Burns, Kim Gieber, Mary Beth Charleboix, William Kostelec, Anne Thomas, Cathy Perry, Janice Resch and Gina Mc Farland from the Compensation Committee , Sandra Boyd & Marcia Bertholf from the Community service/outreach committee.
Members Absent: Trevor Werttemberger, Keith Gauthier, Theresa Castillo
The meeting was called to order by Neva at 12:05
New Business
Minutes from the October 29th meeting were approved as written.
Gina McFarland presented the council with the proposal on 9-10 month employees. Some changes were discussed and they will bring back a final draft for approval.
Sandra Boyd & Marcia Bertholf presented a proposal for a GU staff Community Service Day. Sima Thorpe has offered her program CCASL as a source for community service opportunities and a way of monitoring totals hours of service. Changes were suggested to verbiage in the proposal. SAEC support this proposal and will sign off on it and submit a copy to HR
Old Business
Neva will invite Mary Ritter-Heikemper to the 11/13 meeting to discuss the student alcohol awareness program.

Scheduling of future meetings
Next Meeting will be held on November 13, 2002. Future meetings will be held each Wednesday in the 1898 Room from 12:00 – 1:00. Since this is the lunch hour, please feel free to bring your lunch. All SAEC members will be notified if there is a change to this recurring meeting.
By virtue of the bylaws, all Staff Assembly meetings are open unless otherwise designated by the Executive Council. Everyone is welcome to attend.
