STAFF ASSEMBLY EXECUTIVE COUNCIL MINUTES

October 23, 2002 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.

1889 Room

Members Present: Keith Gauthier, Neva Bishop, Kim Gieber, Krystal Burns, Theresa Castillo, William Kostelec

Members Absent: Cathy Perry, Trevor Werttemberger, Mary Beth Charleboix, Anne Thomas

The meeting was called to order by Keith at 12:10

New Business

Keith Spoke with Gary at Marriott regarding a $10 credit on an employee’s id for the anniversary gift.  Gary didn’t see a problem with it, however needs to see what the cost would be.  He will get back to Keith.

November Staff Assembly open meeting – No date as of yet, need to hear back from Raymond Reyes regarding the “video” to show or not to show.

Mandatory Supervisor Training

          Need clarification on whether Faculty will be included in this, as there are some faculty that supervise staff.

Basketball tickets:

          Mike Roth has released the new policy on distribution.

                   2 tickets per Staff/Faculty regardless of dependents

                   Need GU Id to get tickets and into games

          The tickets have assigned seats and will be attached to your Id; Athletics will be tracking no shows.

No answer yet on whether staff will be charged to use the Sports facilities.

Scheduling of future meetings

Next Meeting will be held on October 30, 2002. Future meetings will be held each Wednesday in 1898 Room from 12:00 – 1:00.  Since this is the lunch hour, please feel free to bring your lunch.  All SAEC members will be notified if there is a change to this recurring meeting.

By virtue of the bylaws, all Staff Assembly meetings are open unless otherwise designated by the Executive Council.  Everyone is welcome to attend.
