STAFF ASSEMBLY EXECUTIVE COUNCIL MINUTES
November 14, 2001 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.

Members Present: Keith Gauthier, Neva Bishop, Janice Resch, Krystal Burns, Bill Kostelec, Brett Hendricks, Theresa Castillo, Barbara Kolbet and Kim Gieber
Members Absent: Molly Spilker, and Anne Thomas
The meeting was called to order by President Bill Kostelec at 12:05.
Old Business
Minutes from 11/7/01 passed
New Employee Orientation
· Krystal talked about the purpose of the Staff Assembly to the latest group of New Employee Orientation – it went well
· In January the format will change for New Employee Orientation and Staff Assembly will have our own spot
Website
· We now have a link to the site http://www.gonzaga.edu/staff
· Neva is working with Chris Gill to get a link on the site map
· WHY GONZAGA? Spotlighting one staff member per week on the website and highlighted their contribution to the university
· Link will be sent with new minutes
· Building a link page with information that will benefit employees
Proposals for Mike Casey and Father Spitzer
· Continuing to work on a list of suggestions to boost morale
· Need a “quick fix†list and a “long term†list
Scheduling of future meetings
November 21st, Large Conference Room, 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.
Future meetings will be held each Wednesday in Crosby Large Conference Room from 12:00 – 1:00. Since this is the lunch hour, please feel free to bring your lunch. All SAEC members will be notified if there is a change to this recurring meeting.
By virtue of the bylaws, all Staff Assembly meetings are open unless otherwise designated by the Executive Council. Everyone is welcome to attend.
