Staff Assembly Executive Council Minutes
May 12, 2009
Road to Bali
1:30-3pm

Members Present: Marcia Bertholf (recorder), Karen Franks-Harding, Kim Gieber, William Gibson, Connie Hickman, Ann Price, Tim Woodard; Krystal Burns (Outreach Committee).

Called to order at 1:30 p.m. by William Gibson.

 

  1. Approval of the minutes from April 28th will be postponed until 5/26 meeting.
  1. Regent Applications:

Copies of the Applications were supplied and gone over at the meeting.  Two applications will be supplied to Fr. Spitzer with the Council's recommendation.  Marcia will email William a copy of the cover letter for Fr. Spitzer.

  1. 2009/2010 Staff Assembly Elections Update:

New members:

Angela Ruff, VP; Roberta Willey-Treasurer; Connie Hickman-Secretary;

Council - Erik Blackerby, Kristen Kavon, William Gibson

Budget Committee: Jennifer Klein

Compensation Committee: Georgia Dunham

Community Service Committee: Allison Sather, Sharon Straub

Community Outreach Committee: Jill Royston, Anna Gonzales, Brenda Warrington

New Regent will be appointed by Fr. Spitzer by July

  1. Community Outreach Committee Update

Faculty/Staff Picnic to be held July 29th.  Details to follow.  The committee is presently ordering anniversary gifts for next fiscal year.

  1. Spring Open Meeting

Kim Gieber supplied agendas for the 5/20 meeting, she will contact the outgoing SA members to be at the meeting.

  1. Other:

William had an impromptu meeting with Scott Bozman at the McCarthey Center meeting to celebrate Fr. Spitzer; Scott is open to having joint meetings of the leadership to discuss faculty and staff issues.
