Staff Assembly ExecutiveCouncil Minutes
October 10, 2004
1898 Room 12:00 – 1:00p.m.
Members Present: Krystal Burns, Linda Sue McClure, KathySherrick, Kim Gieber, Craig Schaefer, Janice Resch, KarenFranks-Harding.
Called to order at 12:05 p.m. by President Krystal Burns
Corrections to minutes (two weeks ago) Habitat For Humanityshould be noted as Oct. 11-16th not November11-16th.
1. Raymond Reyes is asking for Cultural Awareness dollarsfrom Fr. Spitzer to cover Close Encounters – so Staff Assembly doesnot have to front the bill (funds would come out of theUniversity’s budget.)
2. Re:2004-2005 H.R. Policies and Procedures manual: Karenand Janice volunteered to becoming actively involved in changingand addressing issues in the manual. They will sit in on a meetingduring the week of October 11th.
3. Fall Staff/Faculty Meeting: is tentatively planned forNovember 17th at 11:30am. This will be a lunch meetingfor all attending to provide ‘Heads Up’ results and S.A. surveyresults. Erin S. will check availability for Cataldo on that day.Fr. Spitzer will be invited to say a few words over lunch. Krystalwill also provide staff members with an update on the buildingblock series and daycare committee/outreach, Habitat for Humanityand United Way campaign.
4. Linda Sue recognized that there are excess dollars in theS.A. budget after this year’s picnic. Linda Sue suggested usingthis money for team building/morale seminars.
5. Review of Staff Regents: Executive Council reviewed theapplications of three Staff Regent Nominees. The Executive Councilwill make their recommendations to Fr. Spitzer who will make thefinal decision.

By virtue of the bylaws,all Staff Assembly meetings are open unless otherwise designated bythe Executive Council. Everyone is welcome to attend. Meetingsoccur every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 12PM – 1PM inthe 1898 Room of the Administration Building.
