Staff Assembly ExecutiveCouncil Minutes

October 20, 2004

Road to Zanzibar 12:00 – 1:00p.m.

Members Present: Krystal Burns, Kathy Sherrick, Craig Schaefer,Karen Franks-Harding, Brady Neilson, Marsha Berthoff, StacyChatman, Jane Hession, Trevor Werttemberger

Called to order at 12:05 p.m. by President Krystal Burns

1)     Krystal will ask Linda Sue to send flowers to Julie McCulloh fromthe Executive Council.

2)     Krystal met with Tricia Burns-Hart to discuss the Human Resourcetraining programs and the advocacy program. The advocacy program isstill alive. Tricia wants to work with the Executive Council.Building Blocks was discussed – Krystal wants to look at the ideasMary Beth has on a list and narrow down the choices. Krystal willask her to email the list to us.

3)     Marcia asked for feedback on the times Close Encounters should beheld.

4)     Fall Meeting is Nov. 17^th 11:30 to 1:00 – lunch will beserved.

A)   Krystal will send out the email notification to all staff.

B)    Marcia has the result from the survey and Krystal will presentthose to the staff. We did discuss how that should be presented andwhat should be presented on 11/3.

C)   Present ideas on how the staff can be more involved in Assemblysponsored functions.

D)   Will present the status of the daycare information.

E)    Share some topics for Building Blocks

F)    Marcia will present a community service/outreach update.

G)   Krystal will reintroduce the members.

5)     Karen gave an update to the council on the meeting she and JanieResch had with Steve Doolittle on the changes being made to thePolicy and Procedure Manual. Attached is a copy of thosechanges,

6)     Krystal will talk to Erin about inviting committee members to comethe Executive Council meetings on a quarterly basis to report thecommittee’s progress.

7)     HUG will be held during Spring Break. Marcia will begin working onit. Volunteers to help her were Karen, Craig and Krystal.

By virtue of the bylaws,all Staff Assembly meetings are open unless otherwise designated bythe Executive Council. Everyone is welcome to attend. Meetingsoccur every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 12PM – 1PM inthe 1898 Room of the Administration Building.
