Staff Assembly Executive CouncilMinutes

April 1, 2004

1898 Room 12:30 – 1:30 p.m.

Members Present:Marcia Bertholf, Lisa Meyer, Krystal Burns, Mike Casey, TrevorWerttemberger, Stacey Chatman, Kim Gieber, Mary Beth Charleboix,Bill Kostelec, Kathy Sherrick. Called to order at 12:35 p.m. byPresident Marcia Bertholf.

Minutes:         Change: Staff andfaculty ticket distribution committee still in formative stages;undetermined. Also change regarding Heads Up: add “move to springbreak to allow more to attend.” Vote next meeting.

Heads Up:      A summary of the Heads Up comments and evaluation to be written upand submitted to the Cabinet.

Basketball Tickets: Krystal is on thecommittee along with two Community Service folks and three facultymembers (education, math, psychology). First meeting is April 16,2004.

Elections: Comingalong okay with acquisition of several more candidates running foroffice. No interest as yet in the security advisor. Bios duetomorrow.

Daycare Committee:Survey is open to the 15th – not a very good response todate. Laura Brunell, Krystal Burns, and Rob McCann met to discussthe St. Ann’s daycare facility which is presently underconstruction; information received about how they were establishedand how they will operate with Sacred Heart Medical Center.

CompensationConsultants: Reminder that they will be here on April27th. We will be meeting with them—when and where stilltentative.

Community ServiceProject: Do a group project for Community Service hours and getin touch with Marcia if interested.

Staff Survey Update:Good response; results in process of compilation andevaluation.

Student Orientation:Staff Assembly/various staff and departments to be involved withstudent orientation week. Notify Beth Hellwig-Olson that we areable and willing to be a resource for them and/or participate inthe event.

Reminder about the springopen meeting. Plans to commence next meeting. Marcia to writean all staff letter to summarize this year’s accomplishments.

Security Update:Results of security walk from the Security Committee handed out andreviewed.
