STAFF ASSEMBLY EXECUTIVE COUNCILMINUTES

Wednesday, October 8, 2003 12:00 –1:00 p.m.

Members Present:  Marcia Bertholf, Kathy Sherrick, LisaMeyer, Janice Resch, Krystal Burns, Bill Kostelec.

The meeting was called toorder by President Marcia Bertholf at 12:10 p.m.  No minutes available to beapproved.

New Business

1.        Debriefing from today’smeeting: Janice andMarcia to determine how to post the results of the compensation andstaff satisfaction surveys, perhaps in Outlook’s publicfolders.

2.        Assignment from Thayne:request for staff input on Standard 9 draft; email request and linkto be sent out to all staff. Reiteration of Thayne’s request atopen meeting forum for staff feedback which will go toAccreditation Steering Committee and incorporated into draft ofStandard 9.

3.        Debriefing from Brown Bag Session: Discussion regarding whatcouncil expectations had been from session; what worked, whatdidn’t; next steps.

4.        Next week’s agenda:address the possibility of meeting less often to get more interestin staff involvement; or length of tenure for office holders,particularly the president.

5.        Budget Committee: Marcia discussed her meetingwith Fr Clancy, Angela Ruff and Steve Sepinuck from Faculty Senateon compensation issues.

By virtue of the bylaws, all StaffAssembly meetings are open unless otherwise designated by theExecutive Council. Everyone is welcome to attend.
