The meeting was called to order by President KeithGauthier at 12:10

Business

Stephen Sepinuck has approached the Benefits officeto put together an online FAQ brochure regarding benefits; it ismostly faculty questions.  Lisa has put on the table arequest for questions regarding staff issues.  Two were brought up COBRA –a better description of what it is and the criteria to obtain it;FMLA what is it, how does one go about claiming time off usingit.  The benefitsoffice will publish and update it out of theiroffice.

Thayne McCulloh has requested to be a speaker at ourfall Staff Assembly meeting regarding the re accreditation, he alsohas requested that the Staff Assembly Executive Council include himin the survey that the Compensation Committee isdeveloping.

The fall Staff Assembly meeting will be in MidSeptember with refreshments.  Agenda to be determined ata later date.

A reminder that the Staff Assembly Executive Councilmeets every Wednesday at noon in the 1898 room and it is open toany member of the staff assembly.

A Silverwood family pack has been chosen to be theJuly lottery gift.

SAEC members need to provide a profile to Neva andhave their picture taken by Bill Kostelec.

Next Meeting will be held on July 10,2002.

Future meetings will be held each Wednesday in 1898Room from 12:00 – 1:00.  Since this is the lunchhour, please feel free to bring your lunch.  All SAEC members will benotified if there is a change to this recurringmeeting.

By virtue ofthe bylaws, all Staff Assembly meetings are open unless otherwisedesignated by the Executive Council.  Everyone is welcome toattend.
