STAFF ASSEMBLY EXECUTIVE COUNCILMINUTES

November 6, 2002 12:00 – 1:00p.m.

MembersPresent: Neva Bishop,Krystal Burns, Kim Gieber, Mary Beth Charleboix, WilliamKostelec,  Anne Thomas,Cathy Perry, Janice Resch and Gina Mc Farland from the CompensationCommittee , Sandra Boyd & Marcia Bertholf from the Communityservice/outreach committee.

The meeting was called to order by Neva at12:05

New Business

Minutes from the October 29^th meeting wereapproved as written.

Gina McFarland presented the council with theproposal on 9-10 month employees.  Some changes were discussedand they will bring back a final draft forapproval.

Sandra Boyd & Marcia Bertholf presented aproposal for a GU staff Community ServiceDay.  Sima Thorpe has offered her program CCASL as a sourcefor community service opportunities and a way of monitoring totalshours of service.  Changes were suggested to verbiage in theproposal.  SAEC support this proposal and will sign off on itand submit a copy to HR

Old Business

Neva will invite Mary Ritter-Heikemper to the 11/13meeting to discuss the student alcohol awarenessprogram.

Scheduling of futuremeetings

Next Meeting will be held on November 13, 2002.Future meetings will be held each Wednesday in the 1898 Room from12:00 – 1:00.  Sincethis is the lunch hour, please feel free to bring your lunch.  All SAEC members will benotified if there is a change to this recurringmeeting.

By virtue ofthe bylaws, all Staff Assembly meetings are open unless otherwisedesignated by the Executive Council.  Everyone is welcome toattend.
