Space Committee Report

Did not meet in February

Nomination and ElectionsCommittee

The following to be sent to Laurie Hanlon, MelissaThompson and Neva Bishop. (Neva to post on the web.)

·       Approved list of positiondescriptions

·       Regent description and application

(This item should have been in minutes from last week– but was left out in error.)  When working on theposition descriptions, the executive council decided to dissolvethe position of Staff Advocate Liaison. 

Compensation Committee

·       MSC rates for employees only decliningslightly, MSC rates for employees plus spouse, plus dependants, orwhole family all increasing to continue to try to match our actualexperience.

·       Group Health rates to increase in allcategories.

·       Neva and Georgia are going to work together ondeveloping a web poll to find out employee interest in two areas;alternative medicines, and contraceptives.  Adding either or both wouldincur an increased cost, specifics to be in the webpoll.

·       Rough draft of the compensation survey will beready by 3/20/02 to be reviewed at the executive councilmeeting.

OldBusiness

We went over the list ofmorale boosters and suggested refinements. 

Scheduling of futuremeetings

Next Meeting will be held on March 20,2002.

Future meetings will be held each Wednesday in CrosbyLarge Conference Room from 12:00 – 1:00.  Since this is the lunchhour, please feel free to bring your lunch.  All SAEC members will benotified if there is a change to this recurring meeting.

By virtue of the bylaws, all StaffAssembly meetings are open unless otherwise designated by theExecutive Council. Everyone is welcome to attend.
