1. Call toOrder Scott Murray called the meeting to order at 9:05a.m. |
2. Committee Reports a. Review of Committee Reports Reports from the committees were reviewed by themembers to pinpoint what areas need assistance and where we canassist. b. Community Service/Outreach Committee The Community Service/Outreach representativegave her report. Suggestion was made in the past to encouragestaff to volunteer inthe community. Discussion centered on the possibility of having a paid halfday available to staff members who wish to volunteer their time fora worthy cause. We will look into this possibility further. Wealso discussed looking into the possibility of a staff donation toa local charity or non-profit group. c. Promotion Committee The promotion committee is looking intoideas/ways to promote the staff assembly and generate interest inthe functions that we plan throughout the year. d. Summary of September Trustee Meeting Scott gave a report from the trustee meeting.Updates included information about the North Sharp apartments,the increasing in the endowment, the freshmen class enrollment,technology and fiscal audits. e. Election Ballots were mailed to staff to fill thevacancies in the Executive Council. f. Webpage The Staff Assembly website is up and running. Theaddress is http://www.soe.gonzaga.edu/staffassembly. Theapproved minutes will be posted on the site.

3. New Business a. Open Forum Executive committee members will invite interested staffmembers to come to our next meeting and present ideas/suggestionsfor future discussion/events.
