LAST DATE - No late fee assessed on cap & gown orders postmarked by this date.


Tuesday, March 2 to Friday, April 16


LATE FEE of $15.00 (U.S. funds) will be assessed on cap & gown orders postmarked this date and after.


Saturday, April 17  through Commencement


LAST MINUTE CAP AND GOWN ORDERS - Cap and gown orders will be accepted based on availability.  Additional air shipping charges will apply. 


Friday, April 30 and Monday, May 3


CAP & GOWN PICK-UP FOR MASTER'S STUDENTS - 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.,  place still to be determined

Thursday, May 6

CAP & GOWN PICK-UP FOR MASTER'S STUDENTS - 4:30 to 7:00 p.m., place still to be determined

DOCTORAL CAP & GOWN DISTRIBUTION - at Doctoral Banquet (scheduled by Doctoral office)


Friday, May 7


CAP & GOWN PICK-UP FOR MASTER'S STUDENTS - 2:30 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., place still to be determined

GRADUATE COMMENCEMENT REHEARSAL - not scheduled at this time - we will keep you posted


Saturday, May 8


ASSEMBLE FOR BACCALAUREATE MASS (Optional) in academic attire. Students line up in old gym in The Martin Centre by 1:00 p.m.

BACCALAUREATE MASS (Optional) - 1:30 p.m., in the McCarthey Athletic Center (doors will open at 12:15 p.m.)  Students may invite as many quests as they wish to the Mass and no tickets will be required for admission.

CAP & GOWN PICK-UP FOR MASTER'S STUDENTS - 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., place still to be determined

GRADUATING STUDENTS - LINE UP - 4:00 p.m., in old gym in The Martin Centre. Guests may proceed directly to the McCarthey Athletic Center.

ACADEMIC PROCESSION BEGINS - 4:45 p.m.

CEREMONY BEGINS - 5:00 p.m., in the McCarthey Athletic Center.


AFTER CEREMONY


SOCIAL FOR GRADUATES, FACULTY AND FAMILIES - 6:30 to 7:45 p.m., South Lawn, Martin Centre (If rain - old gym in the Martin Centre)


PLEASE NOTE:

  • If you plan to attend Commencement and you have special needs for seating or the stage, please contact Susie Prusch at 509-323-5571 or by e-mail at: prusch@gu:Gonzaga.edu asap so that we can make the necessary arrangements for you. There is plenty of handicapped seating for guests in the McCarthey Athletic Center.
  • We invite you to stop by the Gonzaga Bookstore to pick up those special souvenirs. the campus Bookstore will be open all week plus Saturday (May 4 through May 9, 2009, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m..
  • Crosby Student Union and the Crosby Espresso Cafe will be open on Saturday, May 9, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. See Bing Crosby's gold and platinum records and relax with a latte.
