The formal process of developing Vision 2012: The Strategic Plan for Gonzaga University started in Spring 2005 with the appointment of a broadly representative committee of faculty, staff, students, governing board members and administrators. The result of this committee's work was the development of a Vision Statement to guide the remainder of the institutional strategic planning process.
In fall 2005, the President appointed a Steering Committee to guide the remainder of the strategic plan development process. Following months of discussion, input, and development, an Executive Summary has been prepared and submitted to the President for his consideration and ultimately the approval of the Board of Trustees.
