Graduate Program Commencement 2014
The 2014 Commencement Ceremony for Graduate students (those students who will be receiving their Masters or Ph.D. degrees) will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014, beginning with an academic procession at 4:40 pm in the McCarthey Athletic Center on the Gonzaga campus. Tickets are not required and students may invite as many guests as they wish. We anticipate that the ceremony will be over at approximately 6:30 p.m. immediately followed by a social on the south lawn. We would encourage all of you and your guests to attend the Baccalaureate Mass. Graduates and their guests of every faith tradition are invited to attend this Mass. The Baccalaureate Mass will be held on the same day, Saturday, May 10, in the McCarthey Athletic Center beginning at 1:30 p.m. and we anticipate that the Mass will be over at 3:00 p.m. Tickets are not required.
Our graduates will be wearing academic robes made entirely from recycled material; the gowns will be a matte-finish black material with two embroidered tabs which will show the Gonzaga Seal, and the hood and the cap will match the matte-finish and also be made from recycled material.
***Because it is difficult for some of you to arrive on campus early for a Commencement rehearsal, I have put together information you need to know and you can read through this information by clicking on Rehearsal Information found over on the left side of this page.***
Also, on the left you will find some important Dates & Events, and answers to a number of Frequently Asked Questions that have come our way over the years. If you have additional questions, please contact me at prusch@gu.gonzaga.edu or 509.313.5571 - but remember, I am hard to reach the several weeks leading up to the Commencement weekend as we are madly getting ready for the big event!
