By giving to Gonzaga University you demonstrate your passion for the University's unique mission.
At the same time, by giving to Gonzaga you also show that you understand how donor support is required to help cover the cost to educate each of our students. Think of it as giving from both the heart and the head.
You have many options for directing your gifts to the University. Funding priorities are as varied as the many interests among our donors. Choose among these options to nurture your passion and at the same time support one (or more!) of Gonzaga's top priorities.
- Annual Campaign
- Learning Environment
- Gonzaga's Mission
- Endowed Priorities
- School of Law
Annual giving is the "gateway" that many first-time donors choose to support Gonzaga. Long-time donors choose to show their loyalty to the University by making a gift year after year. All annual gifts to Gonzaga count towards our 2012-13 Annual Campaign. Gifts must be received by May 31 to be listed in Gonzaga's Honor Roll of Donors. This year, Gonzaga's Annual Campaign priorities include:
- Fund for Gonzaga (an unrestricted fund that is the top priority of the University and supports the majority of students who receive aid)
- Gonzaga Scholars Program (for students facing financial hardship)
- Alumni Association Scholarship (for students of alumni)
Without exception, the greatest ongoing need for your financial support is student scholarships. A significant percentage of undergraduate students require financial aid to afford their tuition. You can support Gonzaga students with a gift for scholarships that are:
- Annual or endowed
- Restricted according to criteria you choose
...or any combination of the above. For more information on giving to an existing scholarship, or establishing a new scholarship, please contact Heidi Wohl at 509.313.6395 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
You have many options to enrich the "Gonzaga Experience" for students by giving a gift in support of:
- Faculty development, including endowed professorships
- Programs and facilities
- Academic departments
The University's distinct mission, informed by the Jesuit philosophy of education, is woven into every aspect of each student's "Gonzaga Experience." If you know Gonzaga, you are familiar with the many transformational opportunities that are offered to students thanks to donors like you: faith-based retreats, community service outreach, global learning opportunities, leadership and ethics programs and social justice courses are just a few examples. As a donor, you have many options to choose from in directing your gift to help Gonzaga in educating the "whole person." For more information about specific mission-based programs that you can support, click on each of these links:
- University Ministry
- Center for Community Action and Service Learning
- Comprehensive Leadership Program
- Hogan Entrepreneurial Leadership Program
- Gonzaga Ethics Institute
- Diversity Initiatives
- Global Initiatives and Study-Abroad Programs
How you choose to direct your gift might be based on your own unique experience of Gonzaga. For example, perhaps as a student you traveled abroad to participate in the Florence Program, found it to be a transformational experience and consequently pursued a career abroad. Your gift to the Florence Program is how you show your appreciation.
Growing Gonzaga's endowment is a top priority. Gifts to the endowment are a means for funding - in perpetuity - the priorities listed above. When you support the endowment, you deepen your commitment to Gonzaga in the sense that your investment becomes perpetual. You have many choices regarding what to endow:
- Special Projects
To learn more about these choices, or to learn more about Gonzaga's endowment, please contact Pat Reese at 509.313.6134 or email@example.com.
