Banner Bytes

banner bytes

Banner is the university's integrated campus information system.  Everything from student, employee, alumni and finance data is tracked in the Banner system.  Banner is primarily used by those in academic areas responsible for creating and maintaining the data in the database.

Accessing Banner

In order to gain access to the Banner database, you must go through the Banner General Navigation training session offered through Technology Education Services.  Once this training is completed, users must request access via the 'Request for ICIS Access' form in order to receive their username and password for Banner.  Visit our training site to sign-up for Banner classes and to see a list of all Banner classes that are offered.  Access the Request for ICIS Access form here.  A PDF version is available here.

Downtimes and System Maintenance

The annual Banner downtime is scheduled for Saturday, July 11th through Sunday, July 19th.  While it is always a goal to have Banner back online toward the later half of the downtime week, the complexity of the upgrade to Banner 8 may make this challenging.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Greg Francis, Director, Central Computing and Network Support Services, francis@its.gonzaga.edu, or ext. 6896.
