Merit Scholarships
Many students admitted to Gonzaga will receive scholarships on the basis of academic merit. These scholarships are awarded by the Office of Admission and are based on numerous factors, including high school grade point average, co-curricular activities and involvement, standardized test scores, and high school teacher/counselor recommendations. These scholarships are renewable as established by the Gonzaga Guarantee.

Other Institutional Scholarships & Grants
During the upcoming school year Gonzaga University will award more than $31 million in scholarships and grants. Through the generosity of many alumni, friends, and benefactors we award in excess of $3 million annually in endowed scholarships, many of which have particular criteria (for example, specific majors). Some scholarships and grants are awarded by particular departments and are contingent upon specific criteria. These institutional scholarships and grants are awarded both on the basis of financial need and academic promise. Most admitted students received some amount of their aid from institutional scholarships and/or grants.

Family Discount
Gonzaga University provides a Family Discount when there are multiple siblings simultaneously enrolled as full time, matriculated undergraduates. In such an instance, the younger of the siblings receives a 10% tuition discount. If there is a third sibling simultaneously enrolled, a 20% tuition discount is provided to the youngest and a 10% discount to the middle sibling. All siblings must be dependent undergrad students for financial aid purposes in order to qualify for the Family Discount.
Enrollment in the Bachelor of General Studies program is exempt from the discount.
Notification of the siblings' simultaneous enrollment needs to be provided by the family to the Financial Aid Office in order for us to determine eligibility and make this discount available.

Outside Scholarships
Outside scholarship opportunities exist through many organizations within your community, and we encourage you to pursue them whenever possible. Contact your guidance counselor or check with service organizations such as Knights of Columbus, Rotary Club, and Elks Club. Other possible sponsors include employers, parents' employers, trade associations, banks, credit unions, corporations, schools, and churches.
Federal regulation requires us to incorporate all scholarship a student receives in their financial aid award. We realize that substantial efforts have been made to receive these awards; it is our policy not to reduce your award due to the receipt of these scholarships provided the total aid does not exceed the student's budget.
