We offer both C-band and ku-band satellite signal receive (downlinking) services to Gonzaga and non-Gonzaga University affiliates. Unfortunately, Gonzaga University is unable to originate or uplink satellite programs (the transmission of video signals from our facilities up to a satellite for retransmission to another site). We are a receive site whereby downlinked programs can be viewed by a live audience at one of our on-campus viewing facilities or we can downlink a program and videotape it for future use.
Services provided for on-site satellite video teleconferences include a viewing facility with equipment, equipment setup, technical support and an on-site facilitator. Catering is also available.
Facilities are equipped with a large 16-foot viewing screen (image size 9-feet), quality sound distribution equipment, telephone, fax machine, registration tables, refreshment tables and theatre-style or classroom-style seating (subject to room availability). Meeting Facilities are limited in number, however, and reservations should be made at the earliest possible time.
Reservations for teleconferencing facilities should be made at least three weeks in advance of the program date. Downlink services required after regular business hours and on weekends are subject to staff availability.
To schedule a satellite downlink (teleconference) please complete the Satellite Downlink Request Form. For further information about TES's services and rental fees, please contact Rick Rasmussen or phone (509) 313-3810
