The purpose of the University Technology Council (UTC) is to review, consider, and make recommendations regarding University-wide technology-related policies, priorities, and resources. While new technologies enable individuals to acquire and utilize information at unprecedented rates, numerous institutional decisions about network access, information storage/retrieval, academic support (including course delivery), asset protection and many other issues require thoughtful and deliberate consideration. The UTC is tasked with understanding the complexities of information technology initiatives and activities and serving as a conduit between the University Community and the ITS Leadership for prioritizing, recommending, and communicating about those activities.
