Trustees & Regents TechnologyCommittee
          TheTechnology Committee considers and recommends policies related tothe use of computer technology.  The committee also serves asa resource to the administration for planning regarding computertechnology.

InformationTechnology Council 
         The ITC reviews and recommends to the Technology Committee astrategic technology plan for the university.  The ITC reviewsall proposals regarding significant changes or additions to the useor deployment of technology on campus.  The ITC reviewsproposals for their fit with the university's strategic technologyplan, the availability of resources, and prioritizes work onapproved proposals.
           Proposals to the ITC may come from any department or division ofthe university but must be supported by the areas vicepresident.  Proposals must include a description of the workto be performed, the anticipated benefit, an estimate of the realand the personnel costs, and a cost-benefit analysis.  The CIOand his or her staff will review the cost and benefitestimates.
           The ITC shall consist of the five area vice presidents (academics,finance, university relations, student life, and mission), theCorporation Counsel, the Director of Plant Services, and onefaculty representative.  The CIO will serve as staff for thecommittee.

Web Steering Committee
          TheWSC oversees and manages the university's web sites, including theuniversity Internet and intranet sites.  The WSC isresponsible for strategic planning for the university's web sites,developing and approving policies and procedures, managingcompeting priorities, determining needs and helping to procureresources, and communicating about the web with the universitycommunity.
          Thecommittee is composed of the university's CIO, Director of DesktopSupport, Web Developer, Director of Public Relations, at least onefaculty member, and various representatives from the rest of theGonzaga Community.  The Director of Desktop Support and theCIO serve as co-chairs of the committee.

DesktopStandards Committee 

         The DSC develops standard hardware and software configurations foroffice computing equipment, develops standards for vendor support,and solicits and reviews bids from vendors to be the university'ssole source vendor.
 
         Thecommittee will consist of employees from various areas of theuniversity with varying interests and office computingneeds.  The committee will be chaired by thedirector of Desktop Support, who will be an ex officiomember of the committee.
