| Job Purpose |
| Serve as a member of the central office support team for the department of Housing and Residence Life. Provide leadership to the business functions of the on and off campus housing facilities. Direct the business operations necessary to manage a comprehensive residential living and learning program in over 20 residential communities and for an on campus population approaching 3,000 residents and an off campus segment of the operation that includes 28 houses and 4-6 additional apartment complexes. This position will have significant responsibilities for accounts receivables, auditing tasks, and related functions. This person will assist the Associate Director of Housing Operations by maintaining a focused leadership over the business functions of the department. |

| Essential Functions |
- Payables/Receivables:
- Manage rent receivables, accounting and auditing of over $600,000 in rent revenue from a variety of off campus housing properties.
- Manage the conduct related receivables of fees and fines.
- Manage rent receivables, accounting and auditing of over $600,000 in rent revenue from a variety of off campus housing properties.
- Manage the cash out and balancing function daily.
- Manage assignment of late penalties for accounts receivables in arrears.
- Tracking payments and billing student tenants.
- Manage regular fiscal audits and reconciliation of deposit accounts.
- Department and program support:
- Assist in marketing departmental programs, processes, and projects.
- Record keeping of transactions for off campus rental properties.
- Manage the contracts with third party vendors and related requests for budget increases to keep pace with contractual obligations for annual cost increases.
- Manage the reassignment of rent rates from one property to another and related transfer of revenue to the appropriate property revenue codes.
- Manage summer housing billings.
- Institutional support:
- Responsible for department revenue projections and all related forecasting.
- Responsible for department occupancy reports.
- Design and submit opening and monthly occupancy reports.
- Collaborate with the University Budget office on issues pertaining to housing revenues.
- Compile monthly fiscal reports on department spending lines.
- Leadership and oversight over a vibrant web presence for the department.
- Be the point person for all request for budgetary information.
- Other duties as assigned.

| Physical Demands |
|
The incumbent needs to periodically walk between offices for meetings and inter-department correspondence. This includes walking and stair climbing on an occasional basis.

| Required Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree in business management, accounting or similar field
- 4+ years of experience in rent collections, managing and accounting for transactions
- Strong administrative skills, excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal skills
- Sophistication with the use of computer software technology for managing accounting activities
- Strong organizational and problem solving skills
