Fall Family Weekend Welcome

Greetings from Gonzaga!

We invite you and your family to join your GU student for Fall Family Weekend. This annual event promises great things: a chance to learn about your student's life at Gonzaga, a fun-filled weekend of activities for mind, body and spirit, as well as some exciting entertainment for the whole family.

New this year to FFW:  You'll laugh til you cry!  Josh Blue, winner of the 4th season of NBC's Last Comic Standing, will be performing at Gonzaga on Saturday, October 20th at 7:00pm in the McCarthey Athletic Center.  With their ID, GU students can purchase a $10 ticket through GU's Ticket Central.  All other tickets can be purchased for $20 online at ticketswest.com.  Open seating:  buy your tickets now!

Back by popular demand: "How to get your son or daughter off the family payroll." This should be a required session for all parents investing in a college education!!!  The Gonzaga Alumni Mentor Program (GAMP) offers extraordinary opportunities for students to meet and network with regional and national employers. Learn more about Gonzaga's Trek program and how you can help your student get on the road to professional success.

"Staying Safe Online" & "Trends in Cyber Crime":  Don't miss these informative sessions, brought to you by an FBI agent and a cyber security consultant.  With the dramatic increase in technology available to our youth, we have to consider the many ways that strangers can and do talk to our kids and how they should safely share personal information.  Learn how to help protect your cyber-linker student.

Do you have a potential GU student in your family who would like to visit with an Admissions counselor, tour campus, or visit classes during FFW?  You must reserve a spot now with the Visit Office.  Call 1-800-322-2584 extension 6531 to make arrangements.

You should be receiving the FFW registration packet in the mail at the end of August. Please return the registration page from the packet (or download the registration page from the PDF file at this website) by mail on or before October 5, 2007, along with the registration fee. We anticipate that we will confirm your registration by e-mail provided that we have time and that YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS IS LEGIBLE ON THE REGISTRATION FORM. We will have a packet of information and final Schedule of Events ready for you upon your arrival at GU.
