Exams in Alternate Formats

Audio

As stated in the section on Computer Use for Access to Adaptive Technology, some students benefit from listening to their exam. Disability Resources, Education, & Access Management must receive an electronic copy of the exam 24 hours before the exam date to allow for conversion and formatting. Exams in electronic format should be sent to Karen Sandall at her e-mail address: sandall@gonzaga.edu. If you do not have an electronic copy of your exam, DREAM must receive a paper copy no less than 48 hours before the exam to allow for extra scanning and formatting. Please do not send exams through campus mail, since we cannot guarantee the security or integrity of your exam.

Braille

If exams are required in Braille, we will need an electronic copy of the exam 48 hours in advance of the exam date. Exams in electronic format should be sent to Karen Sandall at her e-mail address: sandall@gonzaga.edu. If you do not have an electronic copy of the exam, DREAM must receive a paper copy no less than 48 hours before the exam to allow for extra scanning and formatting. Please do not send exams through campus mail, since we cannot guarantee the security or integrity of your exam.

Large Print

Students with large print needs can be accommodated in the classroom, unless they also use extended time that you cannot accommodate. Please print the exam in the desired font, making sure to keep the formatting accurate. Lines should be spaced at 1.5 or 2.0 (double), and Arial font should be used. Bolding the font is usually helpful, as well.
