Accommodated Testing
Accommodated Testing Most GU distance programs do not use traditional testing to measure student knowledge. Instead, you may find more essays, papers and projects determine your course progress. The Office of Disability Resources, Education, & Access Management can work with the student and academic program to determine if testing accommodations are necessary.

Since Distance students have more control over their test taking environment than traditional students, many formal accommodations become unnecessary; however below are some accommodations that you may need to work with Disability Resources to secure.

  • Extended Time (not unlimited)
  • Audio Exams
  • Use of Adaptive Technology Devices
  • Reader/Scribe Services

If a student needs assistance from Disability Resources to set up use of their testing accommodations they must notify DREAM in a timely manner, taking into consideration physical proximity and services to be requested. Failure to do so may make it difficult or impossible for us set up the necessary accommodations.
