Accommodated Testing

Accommodated Testing

Most GU distance programs do not use traditional testing to measurestudent knowledge. Instead, you may find more essays, papers andprojects determine your course progress. The Office of DisabilityResources, Education, & Access Management can work with thestudent and academic program to determine if testing accommodationsare necessary.

Since Distance students have morecontrol over their test taking environment than traditionalstudents, many formal accommodations become unnecessary; howeverbelow are some accommodations that you may need to work withDisability Resources to secure.

  • Extended Time (notunlimited)
  • AudioExams
  • Use of Adaptive TechnologyDevices
  • Reader/Scribe Services

If a student needsassistance from Disability Resources to set up use of their testingaccommodations they must notify DREAM in a timely manner, takinginto consideration physical proximity and services to be requested.Failure to do so may make it difficult or impossible for us set upthe necessary accommodations.
