FAQ's
Q: I have gone through the intake process and am a client of Disability Resources. What happens now?
A: Disability compliance letters will be mailed out to the professors you specified at the intake appointment. This letter informs the professor of your academic accommodations. Disability compliance letters do not give information about the specific disability. However, if you feel it will be to your benefit, you can request that we include information about your condition. We encourage you to be open and communicate with your professors about your accommodations and how/when you plan to utilize them. A copy of your disability compliance letter will be mailed to you.
Q: I am having disability-related problems with accessing Blackboard, the GU website, or other auxiliary devices used in my classes. What should I do?
A: For Blackboard accessibility problems you can visit their website for access information or contact Blackboard directly. For accessibility problems with the GU Website, or other adaptive technology related problems, contact the Disability Resources Coordinator at 509-323-4034. If you are a student who receives textbooks in alternative formats and have questions or concerns about accessing your texts, please contact the Disability Resources Assistant Director at 509-323-4091.
Q: I am a DREAM client and all of my professors are accommodating my needs based on my disability compliance letter. I am still having trouble academically. What should I do?
