Celebrating Student Research
Student research is an inquiry or investigation conducted by an undergraduate or graduate student that makes an original intellectual or creative contribution to their discipline. Student research is an educational practice that has the ability to engage student interest and enthusiasm for an area of study and to help them launch promising careers. The National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) will be held at EWU in Cheney and Spokane April 16-18, 2015, according to the conference website. The deadline for submitting abstracts to participate is December 2, 2014. Information about that event is at http://www.cur.org/ncur_2015/ and at http://access.ewu.edu/graduate-education/ncur.
The free 2014 (12th annual) Spokane Intercollegiate Research Conference (SIRC), held on the Gonzaga University campus on Saturday, April 26th, featured over 200 student presentations of original research for peer review. Learn more about the 2014 event here.
