Academic Planning
We want you to be prepared and on top of your academic planning. Remember that you are responsible for knowing what courses are required of you and your major. Your academic advisor is there to help you, but not to do it for you.
This page contains some helpful tools to assist you in mapping out your academic career. To get started, you will need the following:
- Undergraduate Catalogue
- Unofficial transcript (you can print this from Zagweb.)
- Academic Plan to Graduation (PDF doc)
- Degree Evaluation Worksheet (click on the links below for your area of study to print out a worksheet).
Unofficial Transcript: This will show you all the academic coursework you've completed, and list the courses in which you are currently enrolled. This will be helpful when completing your Degree Eval Worksheet because it can be easy to forget some of the courses you have already taken.
Academic Plan to Graduation (see link above): This page can be used to map out all four years of your studies at GU. Even if you are undecided, you can still map out at least two years of courses. Be sure to use a pencil because you'll be making a lot of changes as you progress. You'll want to pay attention to when courses are offered; some courses are offered only in spring, fall, summer or even or odd years. This information is listed under the course description in the Catalogue.
Degree Evaluation Worksheets: These worksheets help you keep track of the courses you've taken and those you still need to take. Fill out your Eval Worksheet for your area of study and have your advisor review it. Click on the links below for the Degree Eval Worksheet in your area of study.**
