INSTRUCTIONS and INFORMATION: Answers you provide in this academic interest survey will inform the course selection process for your fall 2013 semester schedule. Please read each section carefully and review your answers before clicking on to the next section. This survey should take anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour to complete, depending on your major and information provided. Once you start this survey, you will not be able to save your answers and finish later, so please be sure you have ample time. Once you have completed the survey you will receive a verification e-mail that it has been completed and received, along with additional information for reading at your convenience. Math/Science Core Elective

In addition to the University core math requirement, and the College's Lab Science requirement, College of Arts & Sciences majors also choose a math or science elective. The courses listed below will fulfill the math/science elective. Many majors have a specific math requirement in their degrees: We will register you accordingly for this course in your first semester, when possible/necessary. *If you select pre-health sciences, you may be registered for both Biology and Chemistry (space permitting), as well as other core requirements your first semester. Teacher Certification
Teacher certification is NOT a major at Gonzaga. Students may pursue teacher certification in conjunction with another major at Gonzaga. Students who successfully complete the program and Washington State requirements, will be certified to teach upon graduation in the State of Washington. Certification advisors also work with students interested in seeking certification in other states. If you are considering Teacher Certification, please choose an option below.

Pathways
Gonzaga Pathways is a freshman seminar course, offered only to incoming freshman during the fall semester. The course is taught by dynamic instructors, who will also be your academic advisor. It is an excellent way to learn effectively about who you are in the new environment of college, what it means to be a part of the GU community, and explore who you are as a citizen of the wider world. Through Pathways, students are exposed to the resources and services that make up the support network designed to help students achieve success at GU. Gonzaga Pathways is right for you if: You want to meet and get to know people right away. You want to learn how to access all of the great resources on campus. You have not decided on a major before coming to GU and you want to a guided exploration of all majors and minors. You want to get to know your academic advisor well. You want to get a jump start on academic success. You like to learn through interesting class discussion and interactive exercises and experiences. You enjoy having fun! Feedback from students about the Pathways course has been extremely positive, with most who take it recommending that all new students take it. It is a fun, dynamic, and challenging opportunity to get to know some of your fellow classmates, interacti with your academic advisor on a weekly basis, and to talk seriously about college life and how to get the most out of it. And best of all, you can earn a credit for it! Space in the UNIV 104 course is extremely limited and will disappear quickly. If you are serious about getting involved at Gonzaga University, we encourage you to take Pathways. For any questions you may have, whether it concerns Pathways or other aspects of life at Gonzaga University, please feel free to contact our office.
