Academic Advising & Assistance (AAA) welcomes the class of 2021 to Gonzaga University!
Our mission is to "Support Students in their Pursuit for Academic Success." This begins with the construction of your first semester schedule.
You will be enrolled for your first semester by advisors in the AAA office over the summer. Here's a brief step-by-step breakdown of the first-semester registration process - you are responsible for Steps 1, 2 and 4:Step One (you) - Inform yourself about Gonzaga's degree requirements and programs offered. Step Two (you) - Tell us what you want to study by completing the online Academic Interest Survey.
This survey provides us with vital information needed to enroll you accurately for your first semester courses. We cannot register you for classes without this info. The survey will be online and ready for you to complete soon. We will notify you via email, through the Facebook Schools App, and by mail when the Registration Survey is available. Please complete this survey no later than May 31st, and as soon as possible.
Step Three (us): Be patient while we work.
In June and July, the academic advisors in AAA will use the information you provided in your Academic Interest Survey, together with a host of other information including your academic history, test scores, placements if taken, major and degree requirements, and special considerations (like Honors, Athletics, etc.) to schedule you for your first semester courses. This process takes time, but we will have it done by August 1st. Please do not call and ask questions about (or request changes to) your schedules until we have notified you via email they are officially complete and done. Look at the FAQs section in the meantime, as many of your questions will already be answered.
Step Four - If necessary, how to request changes to your schedule.
Students who wish to make changes to their schedules will have an opportunity to do so in August. To learn more about the process, including specific dates and times, visit our Schedule Changes page later this summer.
