The College of Arts & Sciences offers a Bachelor of Arts in English, as well as a Writing Concentration English major.  Students pursuing these majors will be placed in one of the following English courses in the first semester:

• ENGL 101 English Composition
• ENGL 102 Literary Genres
• ENGL 105 Themes in Literature
• ENGL 106 Special Topics: Multicultural and World Literature
• English 101 and 102/105/106 (choose one) are requirements of both the major and University Core.

You will follow the 2013-14 Undergraduate Catalogue - this is your contract with the University, and vis versa. Be sure to review the information in the 13-14 catalogue when it becomes available (the catalogue is still under review, and should be posted to the website this summer). Until then, please refer to the 2012-2013 Undergraduate Catalogue, as much of the information is the same.
